100 words about a house (blatantly stealing the 100 words thing from xtina)

A man bought a house that was shaped like an arrow, and the arrow pointed at true North. It sat on the edge of three acres of land, surrounded by small gardens and pathways. All the windows in the house were actually sliding glass doors... there were doors that led nowhere, and doors high up on the walls in a living room with a cathedral ceiling. A square garage that looked like a small factory sat adjacent to the house. Both buildings were dark green on the outside, but inside the walls and shelves and tiles were black and white.

That's a cool creative exercise...

A woman inherited a house that had belonged to her grandmother. The house was crowded in, surrounded by other houses, but it was shaped like a tsu or a ko, and it had tranquil gardens in and around it so you never noticed the closeness of the neighbors. All the walls on the house were really sliding doors. Each door had three layers. The outer layer was like a window, the center layer was a screen, and the inner layer was made of brown wood and white ricepaper. In the late summer the song of the cicadas was deafening.
