Comics

Is there an artist out there who wants to break into comics with me?

I'm a writer. I've got a lot of ideas and some mad ass skills. I need someone to work with me on a project over the next two months. Deadline is end of July.

Any takers?

If you liked Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, take it a step further and watch Human Nature.

Netflix and online identity

I kind of wish I had a way to share my Netflix ratings... or to give and receive recommendations on Netflix with other people I know... or to plan movie nights around my queue with online reminders to other people I know on Netflix.

There really needs to be a central repository for online identity and relationship/community mapping. FOAF is kind of a step in this direction, but there ought to be a true standard for mapping personal relationships online that can be ported into any system. If I could just go to one place that had a single account and profile for each of my friends and I could carry that informational framework from one site to another (LJ, orkut, okcupid, whatever) it would make life a lot easier. Sites could just be single purpose (dating, movie rental, retail) and could automatically carry over information about their members' relationships from the central repository - as long as there was a standard to follow.

Yes, yes, privacy ethics social faux pas et cetera. This is why we have encryption. I think that having a migrating, portable online identity is really the next big step to take. I wonder who's going to do it first?
