I <3 NYC

Well, Brooklyn anyway. I went to my sister and Autumn's Chinese New Year / birthday party, and despite coming in just under the optimal fun to travel ratio (9.5 hours of travel, 16 hours of fun) I had a wonderful time. I got to work on my frying skills and my social skills, and I think I did well with both. My golden spring rolls earned me permanent fry cook status for future parties, and I got to meet and chat up a lot of cool folks. I even got some good restaurant recommendations!

I <3 Duck Dodgers

Last night's episode had a parody of Samurai Jack. A parody of a cartoon that parodies cartoons!! And it even had the real Aku's voice.

I <3 Iraq

I think if it were possible to ask the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis who have died since the Bush Administration invaded Iraq, they would all say that they would prefer to be alive under Saddam Hussein's regime than be dead right now.

Isn't that the bottom line? Why did so many people have to die? "Freedom" is not worth the deaths of hundreds of thousands; there were better choices to make than invading.

Iraq is going to be plunged into decades of civil war, if they're lucky. If Iran doesn't decide to invade them and fill the power vacuum we will inevitably leave. If if if. If only the Bush empire hadn't triumphed.
