Monkees of the New Millenium

The folks who brought about theburg.tv started a new podcast; they got a bunch of people who play instruments and got them to start an indie band from Williamsburg that actually tours around the country since last Summer. They've played in Austin, all around Brooklyn, and some places on the Left coast I think.

Anyways, it's a new spin on the old Monkees formula. It has its amusing moments, but I still like TheBurg better (I think because of the characters/actors, I'm not sure how I feel about this new group).

Fucking hell. This backpedaling on Internet control needs to stop; we can't let big media take over the fucking world.

Please donate to Free Press and the EFF and stop this corporate control bullshit. Don't let the multinationals decide what you get and don't get to see.

No Newsweek!

The paper issue of Newsweek this week doesn't have any additional content in it from the online article - in fact, it doesn't appear at all! Maybe next week?

I really, really, really like the Onion News Network. Goddamn I would love to be a correspondent on there.
