Benjamin Button

I have no interest in seeing this baby boomer oriented nostalgia trip... BUT, I am curious about one thing: Benjamin Button, from the trailers, is born as an old, wrinkly, baby-sized old man. Okay, fine. Does he then just keep getting younger and younger and then just turn into a baby-sized baby? Because that is just dumb. He should really end his life as a MAN-SIZED BABY. And man, that would be creepy as fuck-all. He could get a little smaller and bent and stuff like old people do because of gravity... but his features would get all tiny and baby-like and he'd lose his hair, and his hands could get all stubby fingered and his limbs lose muscle and his skin gets all supple and stuff. But he just dies as an alien looking drooling baby-man. CREEPY.

Gah, why would anybody want to see such a weird-ass film??

I was under the impression that it does not go that far! LOL!

I know, I don't think it does, but it should!! That would actually make some modicum of sense, rather than starting out baby size and going back to baby size... no conservation of mass!

I guess....and you know what? If we are debating over this topic the movie has certainly got to be pretty awful. Do we dare each other to go see it soon so we can discuss or do we spare ourselves the torture?

I liked the film. It was long, but moving.

Anyway, he grows larger physically while getting younger, then gets smaller again physically while returning to baby state.

Benjamin is just from Ork.

Yeah see, my science-y side gets all rankled by that. People don't really shrink like that, ever. Unless you cut bits off them.

Of course there's a website!!

Yeeeees .... but people aren't born old and then age forward. It's more fantasy than sci-fi, I 'spect :D

That said, my grandma was 5'2" all her life until osteoperosis squeezed her spine and she died at 4'8".....

Ha!!

Heh, I won't take that dare with movies at almost $13 a pop here in NYC. :)

Maybe if it goes second run somewhere out of state...

Nothing to do with the movie officially, btw...I just think it's disturbing and funny.

I may contact you if I see it at my local $4 second run theater.

It is wicked disturbing. Why are people so freaky??

My fantasies need to be logically consistent, darn it!
