The Blue Anchor, Hyannis
Aug. 17th, 2004 11:08 amI had 1/2 price sushi at The Blue Anchor last night on Main Street in Hyannis. The maki were great: I had oshinko, cucumber, tamago (yum), a spicy tuna roll, and an eight piece tempura fried veggie roll. I also ordered tuna and yellowtail sashimi, and while the yellowtail was superb the tuna was light pink and almost flavorless.
32 pieces of sushi and a glass of Pinot Grigio for 28.00 with tip. Not bad!
I'll definitely be back for more.

Apartment 2 is in high demand - there's at least two other people that want this place, and possibly another one who's going to look at it tonight. I expect that the landlord is going to come back to me and tell me that other people are going to bid the rent higher... at which point I may become very sad.
It is a really nice apartment, I'm not suprised that people are trying to snatch it up.

Aug. 17th, 2004 07:16 pmThe whole foods store down the street from me is faboo. Not only do they stock my favorite wasabi rice snacks, their produce is incredibly fresh. I bought a juicy, ripe half a canteloupe, a bag of grapes, some lush bulbs of garlic... and I used the garlic to make some amazing spinach with garlic & ginger, and a batch of red swiss chard. I used grapeseed oil, garlic, salt & pepper, fresh lemon juice, veggie broth, and a bit of honey with the chard and man, it's all so so tasty.
