Remember this on election day if you feel like you need to re-elect George W. Bush.

From Wikipedia:

"The official U.S. military death toll in Iraq reached 1,000 as U.S.-led forces struggle to put down the Iraqi resistance, which continues sixteen months after President George W. Bush declared the end of 'major combat operations' in Iraq."

"The British Royal Institute of International Affairs reports that a major civil war in Iraq is likely, affecting the entire Middle East."

He LIED. He wasn't misinformed. He didn't have bad intelligence. The blood of a thousand Americans (and who knows how many Iraqis) is on his hands, mixed with some expensive barrels of oil.

He just wanted to play the Game of Kings with Saddam, maybe make his oil buddies richer, and guarantee two terms in office. That's all. We never needed to invade Iraq and cause all these problems.

Iran comes next. Re-elect him and see (if he doesn't decide to invade Iran next month, that is).

Ten Years

If memory serves me right, this is the tenth anniversary of Project Aegis. Messrs. Ives, Ripps, Bennett, and myself built our own Interactive Qualifying Project based on a live roleplaying curriculum we had designed during the Summer. The LRPG was a simulation of U.N. negotiations between all the international space agencies (ESA, RSA, KSA, NASA, NASDA/ISIS, CSA) as they tried to come up with an action plan for protecting the planet from catastrophic asteroid collision.

Our goal with the IQP was to determine whether or not MBTI type had any correlation to roleplaying ability or learning styles. It laid the foundation for ten years worth of LRPG IQPs. Many of our friends and schoolmates followed in our footsteps these last ten years.

I wonder how many follow-on projects in total eventually came out of our groundbreaking IQP? And whether it would be worthwhile to try to conduct a study of all the data from all the projects to try and learn anything? That would be a cool, cool thing.
