Kitchen (90%): Some dishes to wash, but otherwise looking fantastic. I've never had everything so organized and available before! I'm itching to start cooking, I made a Shaw's trip last night and bought some of the ingredients I need for homemade power bars (Trader Joe's has the rest for me).

Bathroom (96%): Bought a bath mat and matching seat cover. Gigantic medicine cabinet is totally organized, and catproof locks are installed in the drawers. This room's basically done except for putting in the hand towels and guest towels, which need to be washed.

Living/Dining (65%): I've hung pictures and art, put up and filled the shelves, but I have large bags of laundry lying around and various video game components loosely organized - the plan is to get those upstairs and installed in the Den/Guest Room, and eventually get a "cheap" TV/monitor to use with them. I also need two pieces of furniture in here - a vertical entertainment center for the big TV, TiVo, PS2 and VCR, and a table/lamp stand for next to the couch. IKEA in Stoughton is supposed to be opening "soon" so things may be status quo here for a while. CDs and DVDs and books need organizing.

Bedroom (75%): Also need a night stand for the bedroom, just a little something small with drawers. The bookshelf in here is set up but needs organizing, and the closets are mostly set up, but I've got to put my clothes away and organize.

Office (30%): The upstairs is pretty much a mess. I have boxes of files and papers all over, and the computers aren't set up at all, but the computer desk the landlord left me is wicked sweet.

Den/Guest Room (30%): I want to get a horizontal shelf in here for my games, and a futon for guests to sleep on/sit on. If I ever hold regular gaming nights here, this is where they'll take place.

My goal is to get the downstairs (first four rooms) as ready as possible by the end of this week. When I get the camera I ordered, I'll make a little picture and video tour. :D :D

My first days here were rough, and I've been a little stressed out from all the excitement. There have been many areas to explore and rub my spit on, and the big cat keeps some doors closed!!! How sucky. I have been making up for this by running around like a nutbag, attacking the new bath mat, and locking myself in the bathroom.

Also, THERE ARE SO MANY BIRDS IT MAKES ME INSANEY!!! I have to run into every window to watch them all. Sometimes I am actually running into the window itself because it is closed and there is no ledge to sit on. Thankfully I can sit on the couch and look out the windows behind it all day long. Birds make me FREAK OUT. I get all twitchy and kick the big cat in the head and make chirpy bird sounds to entice them towards me. Meow mew meow!!*
