In other news, UMD = RIP. Who didn't see that coming? Why would I want to pay the same amount of money for a disc I can only play in one device, and not even watch on a TV? Big raaaaDUUUH there for SONY, I hope whoever was in charge of that gets fired fast. Could somebody keep them from sticking a fork in their other eye with the whole Blu-ray thing?

Homemade Household Cleaners

Tonight began my foray into making my own cleansing solutions. I used "How It All Vegan" as a guide, and went to BJ's to buy mass quantities of vinegar and baking soda; all told, this cost me around six bucks.

I made glass cleaner (equal parts water and vinegar) and surface cleaner (pure vinegar and about half a cup of kosher salt). I just poured the remnants of what I had in the spray bottles down the sink, thoroughly washed them out, and poured in the new cleaners. I used the surface spray on my dirty stove, let it sit a little, then scrubbed with a pad... and it cut the grease and food stains just fine, leaving a faint pickly smell that quickly dissipated.

I figure I can make about 16 bottles of cleaner from the vinegar I've got... at a cost of around, I dunno, 50 cents a bottle?

BEWARE: Do not mix vinegar, baking soda, and storebought cleaners - you will die.
