(no subject)

In an effort to make myself more dough from my writing, I looked into Google's AdSense. It seemed simple enough to implement, so I signed up. I shortly thereafter learned that I can't put it up here on my LJ account, despite the fact that I pay for it.

So, I'm now considering "leaving" LJ and blogging somewhere where I can run my ads, and then just running an RSS feed here. How decimated would you folks be if I did that? Would you subscribe to my feed? Should I try keeping this blog personal (at which point it would probably be mostly friends only) and use the ad-enabled blog for other types of things, like movie and restaurant reviews and such?

SquareSpace

Has anyone had any experience with a hosting/software company called SquareSpace?

Interestingly enough, they're located right here in the city, somewhat near where I work. Their basic account is $7.00 a month, and provides a lot of built-in traffic and tracking stuff in addition to letting me post my own ads.

But then again, a free Blogger account is hard to compete with.
