Slacker? I hardly know 'er.
Aug. 14th, 2007 11:23 amI've been neglecting my journal! I promise I'll make up for it; I have a ton of photos to post from things I've been doing - July 4th camping trip, Mets game, Foraging with "Wild Man" Steve Brill, and seeing The King of Kong at the Museum of the Moving Image (with other accompanying pictures).
I think a part of the reason for my lack of postage is the loss of my laptop (and I should post the cracked screen pictures here too). Since I'm not portable, I have a lot less flexibility in posting or writing or editing photos from other locations. I have thus decided... I will be purchasing a Mac laptop. I'm going to wait for my credit reports to get mailed to me, just to make sure all is well, and then I'm going to finance a laptop. The flexibility of multiple OS environments on a Macbook is very tempting, and the iLife software will let me edit video, which is something I've always wanted to do. I think they even throw in an iPod or something when you buy hardware these days, so that'd be pretty cool as well. Kitteridge is also going mac (never going back!) so we're probably going to the store sometime for preliminary sales patter and scouting stuff.
(oh, and I need to ask gilko if he can swing me an employee discount!!)
I've got things to do on Squarespace as well - I want to peel out a King of Kong review/analysis today, and I've got a review of the newly opened Ella Cafe on Bedford Avenue waiting to be written. I'm going to be hitting Dave & Busters tonight to see if the world champion Donkey Kong player can beat his all time high score! Maybe I'll get a picture of the screen if he does...
