Oak Cafe Dinner Celebration
Apr. 8th, 2008 08:32 amLast night I went out for dinner to celebrate good news at work; the Oak Cafe on Graham Avenue just posted its Spring menu, and it looked tasty tasty, so I said what the hell and got me some:
- Fresh ricotta and fig preserve bruschetta. Smooth, creamy, flavorful cheese with a sweet topping, floating on crunchy thin strips of bread.
- Drunken ribs with garlic fennel mashed potato and greens. Well seasoned greens with just the right amount of bittersweet dressing, aside the subtly herbal potato and tangy sweet and savory meatiness.
I had a small carafe of an Italian primitivo with the bruschetta, then a chocolatey Swedish porter (d' Carnegie?) with the entree.
One heck of a meal!!
