The Uwe Boll Experiment
Apr. 14th, 2008 04:27 pmIf you're not a fan of Uwe Boll's work, I suggest you sign the petition here:
http://www.petitiononline.com/RRH53888/petition.html
As he is reported as saying that he'll stop making movies if it reaches 1M signatures.
It is currently ~200000 signatures.
Part of my signing of it is that I disliked his work, but I'm also curious to see whether or not he'll actually quit if it reaches 1M signatories. I appreciate it from a metaphorical perspective... Hollywood only knows whether or not a movie is successful from the money it makes, not whether or not people liked it. And getting ticket money can really just be a result of successful marketing, wouldn't you say? So this could truly be the first time that a movie director gets actual feedback from a large population who really think they got robbed in watching his craptastic films.
There is also a "keep making movies" petition, but I'm not going to post that link here. :)
Hopefully he won't pank out and subtract that number from the other one.
