As a reward for achieving some financial milestones, and also as an early birthday present, I went to J&R Music World last night and purchased these for myself:

They are pretty freaking amazing. They've got better bass and sound quality than the comparable Sony noise cancelling model, which really surprised me. Total ear coverage, gold leads, requisite adapters for planes and so forth, works great with the iPhone. They still feel a little big and bulky on my head, but hey, that's what you get when you want to have damn good audio quality.
I also played with a set of Roland electronic drums while I was there. Wasn't too impressed with them - they had 10 different settings for sounds, and ran about $700.00. Still, when I do get some, I bet they'll sound awesome with my new headphones. :D
