I just installed Firefox 3 on my MacBook, and I wasn't really expecting much when I did it... but the first hint of something cool happened when I went to go waste time on the Kongregate Flash games site. A game I play (called GemCraft) which normally bogs down when a lot of enemies come on screen suddenly SCREAMED with speed. I could actually play the game much more effectively and not worry about dropping a gem in the wrong place due to lag. My gameplay experience was massively enhanced, so something about Flash and Firefox is now working very, very well in version 3.
The second coolness was the "frequently visited sites" tab on the far left. ABOUT FREAKING TIME. Why did it take browser makers something like a decade to start putting in a little bit of ease of use and pseudo-predictive functionality into the browser? It's not like history didn't already exist in the damn thing. Sheesh.
On the annoying side, the install apparently didn't move over my cookies, so I had to "re-remember" all my password logins in the browser.
