Nov. 20th, 2008 03:08 amHe's a really awesome, creative, laid back dude - and it turns out he's right around my age. He's totally unassuming and approachable; all he cares about is making cartoons and putting crazy shit under a camera.
I got both his DVDs, and he happily signed them for me. He did almost an hour long Q&A after the animations, which included Billy's Balloon, Rejected, The Meaning of Life, and Everything will be OK chapters 1 and 2.
It's amazing how much more detail and clarity there is in both the visuals and the sound when you watch it on the big screen. I've only ever seen his stuff online, and I caught The Meaning of Life once when it was in The Animation Show. It remains my favorite.
I will be totally wasted tomorrow though. My god, I'm going to be utterly exhausted.
