I've become fascinated with the idea of spreading ideas lately. Culture and memes are foremost on my mind these days. I should pull out my old philosophy sufficiency and see what I was thinking about 8-9 years ago.

I end up staring at the cover of The Tipping Point a lot because there's a raised image of a match on the cover, and it looks like a real match and I keep wanting to brush it off the cover...

jingsaw was a big fan of The Tipping Point. I didn't read it, myself, as he couldn't stop talking about it so I didn't need to. Heh.

Malcolm Gladwell has a new book coming out in January called "Blink" that discusses the ability of the human mind to make snap decisions without "conscious" thought. I have it pre-ordered at Amazon!
