If protestors end up bombing the hospice where Schiavo is, or assassinating doctors or people who took care of her in the hospice - will they be punished by domestic terrorism laws? Will they be prosecuted under the USA-PATRIOT Act, or will they be considered "crusaders of life"?

You mean like those crazies who decide to go house on abortion clinics? They go to trial where their lawyers try to prove they were saving more future lives than the ones they took away; and then the prosecution says, "uh, even your religion says killing is wrong, dumbass", and then the jury thinks it over and realizes that the defendant is a crazy murderer who should go to jail.

But now that you mention the PATRIOT act, I realize that there hasn't been a good ol'fashioned shoot-em-up at a clinic since that time. I would love to know what they would do to those folks. Innn-ter-esss-ting.
