I learned how to pinch squash seedlings to leave only the healthy, big, superior babies.

I learned how to roll up "emay" (sp?) which is this fabric that you cover plants with.

I used a scuffle (or shuffle?) hoe to weed tomato plants and onions.

I find farm work to be very fulfilling. It was an incredibly beautiful day out today, and though the work was pretty hard I had a really great time doing it.

I met a couple of people... I worked with this girl Lissa from South Boston who is a Smith and Cornell grad and is doing a workshare - turns out today is her birthday, and she's going to a ten year high school reunion, so I guess she's about my age? She's pretty cool. I also met Katie, she ran the antique tractor over the fields; and I met Jessica who was distributing the farm share and taking down names.

I came home with two bags of greens - a share of five different things that I can't remember off the top of my head (turnips, kale, stuff). I ran into darius, dharia, and creatrixx as they were picking up their share too.

I can't wait to go back next week!!
