Shopping

Jess came out to visit and help me shop today! I didn't find any furniture that really grabbed me, but there's an iron baker's rack at the Christmas Tree Shop up the street for $30.00 that I'll pick up tomorrow - it'll add much needed storage space to my kitchen. I also looked at coffee tables; I want to get one that has some storage space underneath it as well. I couldn't find any entertainment centers, so maybe I'll just get a TV stand and then some modular pieces that I can put my components and game consoles in.

I also got some nice new shirts - Jess picked out some great ones for me at Marshall's, including a nice purple one that has this wonderful smooth texture. She also picked out this great squishy soft pillow. We have very similar tactile tastes!

We just finished up dinner. I cooked homemade mac & cheese, green beans, and ham steak with this awesome marinade:

1/2 loose cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup fresh pineapple juice
pineapple chunks
1/3 cup mustard
1/4 cup dark molasses
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon paprika
kosher salt and pepper

Very tasty!
