There's a Trader Joe's setting up down the street from me! They've just started interior construction and they're hiring, so I figure it'll be open by the end of the month. Hurray!

Man I have so much to do today. I still have to finish unloading my car, then I want to go get furniture, and drop off my laundry... Busy!

In other news, Verizon sucks my butt. I still don't have a land line, and because something "has to be built" to connect to my house. Which I think is bullshit because both apartments downstairs have phones. I tried to get a digital cable phone, but that's not available in my area yet.

I have half a mind to just go out and buy a series 2 TiVo so I can connect via wireless and tell the phone company to fuck off completely.

I bought Evil Genius. I've been playing it for a couple hours, just messing around - and it pretty much is X-Com Sims, as I thought it would be. So far I've only gotten to the second main objective, but there's A LOT to this game in the way of management, and I get the feeling that it's just going to get even more complex as I go on. My first few lessons so far are:

- Location, location, location. It's very important where you build rooms and how big you make them.

- You want lots of minions all the time. You go through these guys like Doritos, because not only do you have them doing stuff for you in the base, you also have to place them all over the world in a Risk-like fashion to steal your income and plot out missions.

- Always train up several of the advanced minion types, otherwise when the one guy you have leaves, you got nobody to train up your drone workers.

More as I continue playing...
