Man, why isn't there a new game out like Shadow of the Colossus? I mean, I get that games that great are relatively hard to make... but what the hell, I'd even settle for a knockoff of something else in the genre of "Climb a gigantic monster and stab it with a tiny sword". I want a game that will HURT MY HANDS dammit.
I'll tell you what I thought was lacking slightly in SotC too - I wish that there were more "exploration" of places prior to the monster battles. And I'm not talking about riding the horse all over the place either, I mean like climbing around in ancient ruins and across the landscape. Kind of like Tomb Raider, you know? I mean, yeah, I get that it's all about killing the monsters, the monsters are the levels, but I think it would have been fun to have more places to roam around in, maybe "find clues" tied to backstory in ancient crypts or something. Yes, I get that the character's motivation was to save the girl, and the dramatic pressure and all that was on completing the quest quickly. But we all know that some (maybe even many) players like to pursue goals that are secondary or even tertiary in games. I know that game makers only have so much time and money too, I know, I know... I'm just a greedy ass player who wants more and more depth from awesome games. :)
