I Know I Am Lucky

mik3capI remind myself of this every day. The last six months have been really tough for me, but I know that that is only because I have lead a charmed and relatively unhindered life.
I love my mom and dad with all my heart, and they have been there for me every time I have really, truly needed them. I hope that some day I can be at least half the parent to my kids that either one of them was for me. There is no way I can ever repay them for what they have given me over the years, and for what they continue to do for me with their love and attention and pride.
It's their example that I follow. They made me who I am today, and they are the reason why I want to spread love to other people.
I really wish I could give everyone the life that I've led.
