Zoo

So... seeing animals in real life is really very different from seeing them on TV. Sounds dumb, but I have been to a zoo one time ever, and it was really just a desert conservation museum with a bunch of critters. Not gorillas and ostriches and camels.

It was just super nifty. I have a ton of pictures, soon to follow. A lot was still closed down because it's still cold out, but I bet the Franklin Park Zoo is going to rock in the Summer.

They had the baby animals out on Thursday, and between school vacation and the nice day, the line of cars waiting to get into the zoo blocked up Elmwood Ave. There's usually a couple of times a year where this happens. It's evidently widely considered the best zoo in New England.

It's small, but packs a lot of punch for a little zoo. It was a total mob scene today, and I'm frigging beat from walking all the way around the park to get to my car in uber-far-away-parking-land.

We have a family+2 membership, so anytime you want to go to the Franklin Park Zoo or the Stone Zoo, let us know and we'll "treat"!

I definitely want to go when the giraffes and butterfly conservatory and outdoor bird stuff are active again.

i LOVE zoos! like, i would plan entire vacations around going to zoos if i thought anybody else would enjoy that... i know, i'm five.

Also, I forgot that I went to Gatorland in Florida, but gators are pretty boring when it's not warm enough out.
