Apple and TiVo

Who wants to bet that Apple is going to announce a partnership with TiVo next week? The Series 3 is coming... wouldn't it be neat if it got iTunes videos on demand?

That's been a hot rumor over at TiVoCommunity.com. That Apple will announce their movie downloads and TiVo will be part of it - transferring the content to the TiVo to watch on your TV.

It would be fantastic, but I'm a little skeptical. There have been other rumors like this before.

Well, it's either going to be a partnership or a murder.

If Apple creates a competing DVR product (Mac mini?) that seamlessly integrates with iPods for portable movie watching and iTunes movie downloads, TiVo may as well pack it in.
