I was in Cambridge today, and I bought some bars of chocolate from Cardullo's in Harvard Square - a Vosges (Creole), a single origin from Grenada, and a Venezuelan bar made in Italy. The Grenada is okay, not particularly amazing - but I just had a piece of the Venezuelan and OH MY STARS AND GARTERS it is fucking incredible.

It's 70% cacao dark, and it's called Domori Caru pano, "Cacao Cult". I swear, it tastes like a rich whiskey, with a sweet, sharp tang and just a hint of smokiness and a light chalky texture on the finish. It cost eight bucks, but mighty jeebus I should have bought five of them. This would be completely excellent with a tawny port or hell, even a shot of Bushmill's.
