I'm very sad to hear about Senator Kennedy, and I wish the best for him.

I will say this though: it further affirms my belief that Cape Cod is a toxic place. The air, the water, the whole environment; I don't know what the particulars of the toxic quality are, I don't know what factors cause it. But it's just not a place where people should live long term. Terrible things happen to children there... breathing difficulty, disorders of all sorts, autism, infant mortality - these things happen there all too frequently.

Maybe it's the revenge of the native whale-hunting Americans who were wiped out. Maybe Lovecraft was right about Innsmouth...

Yes, because Manhattan and Brooklyn have such wonderful water and air quality.

Actually, the treated water quality here is considered one of the best in the world. The water on the Cape has jet fuel in it, dumped by the air force base. And the air on Cape Cod is the last stop for air produced in New York, and is also the last stop for most of the pollutants from the Jet Stream from all over the country.

Oh so what you are saying is NYC is helping to kill people on the Cape.

Mm, yes, as do L.A. and Phoenix and Chicago and the rest of the country...
