Dr. Anthrax

The accusations being levelled at the scientist who died recently sound a lot like what you'd expect to hear about the demise of a supervillain.
If any of it is true, the guy is apparently a mad scientist who mailed a bunch of anthrax around because he wanted the chance to test his anthrax vaccine on humans. Which essentially is an act of domestic terrorism; something we've seen plenty of before, and will see more of again. It is terrible that this guy is dead - we'll never know whether or not he did it or what was in his head. I suspect that the investigation must have some leads that led them to suspect an inside job; but what were his real motivations? Was he just a lone actor, and did he pull the whole thing off by himself - or did he have accomplices? Did he have backing from some other outside agency/political entity? How did he avoid capture/suspicion for so many years? Did he really commit suicide... or did somebody help?
This is crazy, crazy stuff. It's like the world's turning into a Tom Clancy novel.
