People often ask me what I'm into in comics these days. Here then is my semi-irregular post containing my current subscription list (title - publisher, bold are something you really ought to read):

B.P.R.D. - Dark Horse
Hellboy - Dark Horse
Action Comics - DC [get the collections of Geoff Johns's Superman reboot, it's awesome]
Mysterius: The Unfathomable - DC
Top 10 Season Two / Special - DC
Back To Brooklyn - Image
Red Mass For Mars - Image
Walking Dead - Image
Anna Mercury - Independents
Doktor Sleepless - Independents
Gravel - Independents
Maintenance - Independents
No Hero - Independents
PS238 - Independents
Astonishing X-Men - Marvel
Captain America - Marvel
Dark Avengers - Marvel
Immortal Iron Fist - Marvel
Incognito - Marvel
Incredible Hercules (Formerly Incredible Hulk) - Marvel
Invincible Iron Man #1-6 Guest Artist Variant Cover - Marvel
Iron Man: Director Of SHIELD - Marvel
Iron Man: Viva Las Vegas - Marvel
Mighty Avengers - Marvel
New Avengers - Marvel
newuniversal: shockfront - Marvel
Powers - Marvel
Punisher MAX - Marvel
Thor - Marvel

General notes: I'm still heavily into Warren Ellis, he dominates my list. Other than that, these days I find I'm liking Avengers, Thor, Punisher, and Iron Man. DC is just a freaking mess, I can't get into any of those mainstream storylines any more. Final Crisis was an ACTUAL crisis for the publisher, methinks. And the whole Wildstorm universe is being plunged into crap as well, so I dumped a lot of stuff that just wasn't any good.

Casanova and Phonogram are the only things I'm subsribed to right now, and the former is on hiatus.

I've stuck with Iron Fist and it's remained interesting, if not quite as awesome as the first 12 issues. I thought I'd like the Ed Brubaker Captain America more than I have so far. I'm with you on all the Warren Ellis stuff. If there's a Warren Ellis, Grant Morrison, or Neil Gaiman title, the odds are very good that I'll buy that sucker.

That said, yeah, Final Crisis has been a mess. I'm glad I read all the Morrison Batman books and Seven Soldiers before trying to get involved with that sucker.

For some reason, I always read Hellblazer, no matter who is writing it. If I stuck through the Denise Mina run, I guess I'll stick through anything...

I fear Iron Fist may never go back to its initial amazingness. I think that was a confluence of the artist and the writer, perhaps not to be achieved again in that title.
